Harold Clampitt

Harold Clampitt

Founder

Background & Expertise

As a RFID subject matter expert, Harold has been a keynote speaker around the world. Talks at RFID World, RFID Live, the University of Chicago, Institute of Information Technology in Pune India, the China Technology Forum in Beijing and the Institute of Engineering and Technology in Brunei.

Professional Recognition

Record-setting attendance at RFID Webex events for Motorola, publication of articles in major trade journals such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), author of the 5th edition of the RFID Certification Textbook, and next generation of LLMs (Large Language Models) for using artificial intelligence with sensor based data from RFID tags and other empirical sources of truth.

Applications Engineering

High density RFID Antenna design for large scale coverage footprints where +32 dB front to back isolation allows faster tag singulation in large coverage areas or immense tag populations; Engineering transient signal protection in harsh electrical environments to extend life span of RFID readers; Custom low volume tags for extreme performance on difficult materials; System engineering best practices for multi-path fading environments; Geodetic tracking algorithms which auto-switch between dead reckoning, tri-lateration, tri-angulation, Visual Odometry with SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), inertial navigation systems (aka Gyros & Accelerometers), Beacon derived with monatomic correction for pseudo RSSI; Lean with Andon automation; KANBAN with passive RFID; Factory cell with combo FIFO/LIFO in-situ for dollar cost averaging throughput; and RFID for MUDA optimization.

Harold's talk at the TechNexus event in Chicago at the Lyric Opera House brought together RFID and IoT in a debute for how RFID data is the leading data source for truth becuase it embodies extensive human supervision for the labelling with redundant validation of asset identity to create superior information sets for dahsboards and training models.

Artificial Intelligence Advances

Harold's latest advances are in Artifical Intelligence. He has written a new book AI DECODED (published 2025) and sees a new paradigm of using Big Data for Big Decisions.

Strengths

Technology Adoption Disruptive Innovation Serial Inventor RFID Expert Technology Injection Author Artificial Intelligence

Core Strengths

One of Harold's strengths is adopting technology where the half-life is less than 30 months and disruptive to the incumbent. Clampitt is a serial inventor, using technology injection as a game changer.

Jim Policheri

Jim Policheri

President

Background & Expertise

Prior to joining American RFID Solutions LLC, Mr. Policheri held technology leadership roles in several early stage technology companies.

Global Project Management

Successfully managed software development projects around the world covering a wide range of operating systems, programming languages, test beds and advanced team collaboration tools to span language and time zone barriers.

Global Team Leadership

Led international software development teams in the USA, Russia, Romania, India, and Malaysia, successfully navigating diverse cultural and technological environments.

RFID Expertise

Considered an expert in software development, Jim has also helped with the applications engineering for real time RFID infrastructures. He has worked with all modalities of RFID and created enterprise scale solutions with advanced sequestering and load balancing techniques.

Jim's innovations were invaluable to create solutions capable of processing immense volumes of empirical data. Recently he has focused his talents to become a world class expert on LLRP, including best practices work on this subject for RFID reader manufacturers.

In 2009 Jim led his team to engineer TrackStar software to support LLRP – a vendor agnostic driver for any flavor of RFID hardware. He later went on to offer the first version of this vendor agnostic driver on the Apple iPhone to give WYSIWYG anywhere, anytime - a breakthrough for customer situational awareness. Since then, Jim has continued this evolution for his customers with recent advance of using RFID empirical data to train AI LLMs. Mr. Policheri has created software for RFID devices using passive, semi passive and active technologies, a true innovator. If you are lucky enough to work with Jim you will quickly discover he is a unique resource. Possessing over two decades of RFID, AutoID, networking, and enterprise software expertise, he may well be the most knowledgeable person you have ever met in this niche of using sensors to automate the tracking of people and things under typical or extreme conditions.

Strengths

Computer Science Applied Mathematics Physics LLRP Expert RFID Software System Integration Mobile Development

Education & Certifications

Mr. Policheri has earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Secondary studies included applied mathematics and physics.

Since College Jim has earned certifications and recognition from top companies such as Macromedia, Sun, Microsoft and Apple.

Mobile Innovation

Recently Jim's team leveraged his LLRP success and completed the first RFID iPhone application. It provides a mobile user friendly environment for our TrackStar software. Jim's enthusiasm and dedication to stay a step ahead of the technology curve has helped position ARS as a thought and solution leader in RFID.

Industry Recognition

With several major software developments to his credit, numerous RFID inventions and over 20 years of experience, Mr. Policheri is sought after for his expertise on RFID, automation, and data connectors to Oracle, SAP, and JD Edwards to name a few. Recently, he was a featured speaker at Oakton College and can frequently be found contributing his knowledge across the growing RFID communities on the web.

More About Jim

When not leading technology transformations for clients, Jim enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly on the golf course. An avid golfer, he finds that the strategic thinking, focus, and patience required in golf mirror many of the same qualities needed for successful business leadership.

Jim Policheri Golfing

Passion for Golf

Jim approaches golf with the same analytical mindset he brings to business challenges. He studies course layouts, analyzes performance data, and continuously refines his technique—approaches that mirror his methodology for technology implementation projects.

"Golf teaches you that success comes from careful planning, consistent execution, and the ability to adapt when conditions change—lessons that apply perfectly to business and technology leadership."

Personal Philosophy

"Technology should simplify complexity, not add to it. The best solutions are those that become almost invisible, working so seamlessly that users can focus entirely on their goals rather than the tools they're using."

This philosophy guides Jim's approach to RFID implementation, focusing on creating intuitive systems that integrate naturally into existing workflows while delivering powerful capabilities that transform operations.

Outside of golf and technology, Jim enjoys hiking, photography, and international travel—experiences that broaden his perspective and inspire innovative approaches to business challenges.
