R2D2 Expander
|
|
The R2D2 Expander increases I/O (Input/Output) and
electrical immunity for an Interrogator. It serves as
a hardware firewall for external devices connected to
your RFID reader.
The
R2D2 expander provides optical isolation for 6 inputs
and 6 outputs to protect the internal circuitry on
RFID readers that provide TTL level GPIO connections
to monitor input and control output signals.
These GPIO ports are not designed to be connected
directly to the input devices such as motion sensors
or photo-eyes or to output devices such as light
stacks and actuators. Isolation in the R2D2
Expander is accomplished by using photocouplers and
therefore eliminating the need for relays or other
electro-mechanical devices.
Our
package is rugged and all connectors are mechanically
latched so avoid accidental disconnect.
